Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer, best known for her role as Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage performer in the 1950s beginning at the age of Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. In the following years, she appeared in numerous Broadway productions before making it popular in the national theatre scene with Li'l Abner's in 1957. In the same year, she recorded her first album of music It's the time for Tina. Louise made her foray into Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The film received a crow's-foot of acclaim and Louise was awarded her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. During this time she entered the Actors Studio in New York and formed a connection with Lee Strasberg as his student. The next role she starred in was from 1964, when she was signed by CBS to play Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise managed to mix her profession effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway television and Hollywood playing somber characters contrasted to her perception of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. She has also established herself as a well-known and respected director of the most popular TV shows, including Supernatural and The 100. Her family relocated from Essex to Toronto and she lived there for childhood and adolescence. After being chosen in 1997 for the role of Samantha Carter she settled down in Vancouver and has lived in the city ever since.
